Made In Italy

Located along the Cilento Coast of Southern Italy, within sight of the Mediterranean sea and the ancient Grecco-Roman city of Paestum with its temples dedicated to Herra, Athena, and Poseidon, the distillery sits at the nexus of modern Italy and its origins. Embodying in its traditional recipe Athena’s craft and wisdom, Herra’s fertility in the verdant surrounding lands that provide its ingredients, and bordered by Poseidon’s azure blue waters--pathways to adventure just beyond the horizon, See the Elephant Amaro is the product of a place where traditions grow, where history and myth collide, where crossroads and routes converge, and where journeys--both legendary and mundane--begin.

Amaro

Amaro, Italian for “bitter”, broadly refers to a class of Italian aromatic, herbal, or bittersweet liqueurs typically served as an after-meal digestif. Amari is made by combining barks, herbs, roots, citrus peels, and flowers with a neutral spirit or wine which is then sweetened and allowed to age for balance and complexity. Meant to be enjoyed with family and friends, the recipes highlight regional Italian ingredients and are passed down through generations combining contemporary style with traditional wisdom.
