Going to See the Elephant

“See the Elephant” was a phrase used in the early 1800’s when the first elephant arrived in New York City and people from all over traveled to go see the elephant. Since, the term has been used when you go out into the world to see something with your own eyes. People will say they’re going to see the elephant!

The only way to know a spirit is to taste it for oneself

To travel the pathways of its flavor to wherever they may lead
